As a brand that prides itself in using the finest quality of materials in our products, we find inspiration in brands that not only represent heritage and tradition in its truest sense but are also considered to be the best at what they do. We’re continually expanding our product line outside the basics through working with such brands that’s why we’re fortunate enough to work with Wm. J. Mill Sailmakers to develop a collection of their iconic hand-crafted bags. We recently had the opportunity to visit the factory in Greenport New York, where we were greeted by Development Manager, Tom Beatty and later joined by Robert (Bob) Mills II, Vice President, and his father Wm J. Mills II, the son of the company founder.

After talking shop and listening to stories of how they went from sail to tote, we took a brief tour of the factory and saw how their products were manufactured. We were also given the opportunity to see the personal workshop of Wm J. Mills, which he calls his toyshop. Moved by the stories and inspired by the tour we headed back towards the city with a bag full of swatches and samples but not before stopping by the docks to see what inspired them.
